                             MEN’S AUXILIARY MONTHLY NEWSLETTER

Men’s Auxiliary Members,

11 members were present for our June meeting, the final one conducted by
outgoing President John Conley.  John was thanked by the membership for his
dedicated work during the last 2 years as President.  If able, please make an
attempt to occasionally attend the meetings as your input is valued and we
appreciate any new ideas and suggestions.

We were pleased to have two guest speakers, outgoing Post Commander, Ed
Weaver and the new (and former) Post Commander, Mike Santure.  Ed graciously
spoke of his appreciation for the Men’s Auxiliary support for various Post functions
and hall improvements during his tenure and the membership also thanked him for
his leadership throughout the year.  Mike touched on the keeping the lines of
communication open between the Post and Auxiliary members as well as discussing
Kennedy Room decorum, proper scheduling of events  and the expectation of a
rewarding year at the Post.  Both were thanked by the members for their service.

As Auxiliary members, we are reminded that even though we are a separate entity,
our tasks include supporting important missions of the VFW.

Our Lucky 100 Raffle continues every Friday at 7pm until July 18th.  This has become
a welcome gathering so please join Post, women’s and men’s auxiliary members for
some fun and companionship.

Two upcoming events back by popular demand:
1)        Race Night at the Toledo Speedway, Friday, July 18th.
2)        Toledo Mud Hens baseball, Thursday, August 7th.

Tickets are free and there are sign-up sheets in the Kennedy Room for both events
with a limited number available.  As always, these are open to any interested Post or
Auxiliary members.

A discussion was held with regard to scheduling a golf outing and a horseshoe
tournament for this year.  New Men’s Auxiliary president, Red Sulier will likely be
organizing both of these efforts.

To save on costs, the newsletter is posted on the Post’s website,,
but if you know of any members without access to a computer, please inform us so
we can mail the newsletter to them.  Also, please visit the website for other
information, calendar of events, and to review the Post and Ladies Auxiliary

We always welcome new members, if you know of anyone interested in joining the
Auxiliary, there are application forms in the Kennedy Room, or please see me or
President Red Sulier.

Thanks also to outgoing Secretary, William Terry for his organizational and
communication skills.

Our next meeting will be held on July 10th at 7pm at the Post on Erie Rd.  We hope
to see you there.

Respectfully submitted,
Mark A. Dusseau, Secretary, VFW Post 3925 Men’s Auxiliary
