News from Erie VFW Post 3925 Men’s Auxiliary
The June 13th meeting went well, despite only having seven members present. It
must be summer time…
Our new Commander, Ed Weaver was a guest at our meeting. He introduced
himself to those who didn’t know him and shared some thoughts about the Post and
its future. Please support Ed in any way you can.
The Lucky 100 is well under way for summer and will run until July 12th. Come on
out on Friday night and have some fun.
There is a medical benefit planned for our Treasurer Frank Connolly, who recently
spent a month in the hospital with a heart ailment. It will be on June 15th at the
We will be going to a Toledo Mudhens game on August 15th. There will be a sign-up
sheet in the Kennedy room soon. We have ten tickets, so first come first served.
Also we have received an offer from Toledo Speedway to use a Suite for the August
2nd race for free! More to come, including a sign-up sheet.
The Dollar King poker room has officially shut down. We had scheduled several
sessions for this summer but they have been cancelled. We (the Post and both
Auxiliaries) are looking for some fund-raising ideas as a result. If you have any,
The State Convention went well although no one from the Mens Auxiliary was able
to attend this year. Both Dawn Shock and Mike Santure received honors this year.
The annual Scholarships are coming up again. If you or your child or grandchild are
going on to higher education, make sure you put in an application for them. Awards
are $300 this year. There will be three names pulled from the hat. Applications will
be available soon and posted on the Kennedy Room bulletin board.

in the Kennedy Room, or please see me or President John Conley.
