                                                   November 2013

News from Erie VFW Post 3925 Men’s Auxiliary

We had a well attended and productive meeting in November with 12 members

The Lucky 100 drawing finished up on Nov. 15th with Mike Dusseau winning the
$500 drawing.  The next session will begin after the holidays on January 10th.  Frank
and I have tickets.

Please make note of and support our coming events.

Our last fundraiser of the year is our
10th Annual Christmas Party to be held on
December 14th.  The format is a little different this year.  Instead of an ‘all inclusive’
price, (with BYOB liquor) we will be charging $10 per person with a cash bar.  This
should be a better deal for those who don’t drink a lot.  The band is “BOFFO” and
they come highly recommended.  We will be having a meeting for the party and
decorating the hall on Monday December 5th starting around 5:30pm.
We are also going to help out with the Kid’s Christmas party on Dec. 7th.  Details
about the parade are still up in the air.  Contact Jon Conley or me the week before if
you want to help out.

The Halloween Party held on October 26th  was a big success. We had over 130
people attend and a good time was had by all.  We made a little money too.  Thanks
to Chairman Red Sulier and all who helped make it a success.

The Veteran’s Dinner was held on Nov. 9th.  There was a big turnout this year which
is great.  The floor looked great after being redone by Red and Jon Conley.
During the meeting we voted to donate to the Red Cross, the USO and the Erie Food

Please keep Dennis Trease’s wife Kathy in your thoughts as she has entered Hospice.

If you know someone interested in joining the Auxiliary, there are application forms
in the Kennedy Room, or please see me or President John Conley.

Please go to for newsletters and other information and to review
the Post and Ladies Aux newsletters for other upcoming events.
Our next meeting will be Thursday December 12th  7:00pm at the Post home on Erie
Road.    Hope to see you there.

Respectfully submitted,
Robin Terry, Secretary, VFW Post 3925 Men’s Auxiliary
