                                                    October 2013

News from Erie VFW Post 3925 Men’s Auxiliary

The October meeting went well with 9 members present.

The Lucky 100 drawing will run through Nov. 15th on Friday nights.  Vince Dusseau
and Terry Kemritz were our latest winners.

The September 28th Golf Outing turned out to be a great success.  We had 60
golfers and all seemed to have a fine time.  Many thanks to John Cousino and all the
others who helped out.

Please make note of and support our upcoming events.

The Halloween Party is scheduled for October 26th 7:00 to 12:00pm at the Post.
“The Erie Boys” will be playing.  This is an important fund raiser and a good time.
Please try to attend or help out.  Red Sulier is the Chairman.

The Veteran’s Dinner is scheduled for Nov. 9th.  Refer to the Post newsletter for
details.  We have been asked to bring an hors de’ oeuvre if we attend.  This is
usually a good time and reminds us of what the VFW is all about.

Red Sulier will be leading an effort to clean and wax the floor in the hall to support
the dinner.  This will happen on Nov. 7th.  Please come and help if you can.

One of our members, Steve Hearst, recently underwent a heart procedure and is still
in the hospital.  Keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

We have a new member, Randy Bowden, a friend of Bob LaPointe.  Please welcome
him if you meet him at the Post.  If you know someone interested in joining the
Auxiliary, there are application forms in the Kennedy Room, or please see me or
President John Conley.

Please go to for newsletters and other information and to review
the Post and Ladies Aux newsletters for other upcoming events.

Our next meeting will be Thursday November 14th, 7:00pm at the Post home on Erie
Road.    Hope to see you there.

Respectfully submitted,

Robin Terry, Secretary, VFW Post 3925 Men’s Auxiliary
