I wanted to surprise you last night with the round table auxiliary meeting and the
surprise was on me with the excellent turnout of 23 members! I love how everyone
participates and all the business we cover. Many of you have good ideas and ways
to get things accomplished. Having the round table meeting is supposed to cut down
on the length of the meeting. So I will attempt another one soon and we’ll see how
that goes. My goal is no longer than one hour.
Bob LaPointe came in to thank the ladies auxiliary for their support on the Car Show.
We received five Lap blankets that were donated, Campbell Soup labels were
turned in, grocery coupons, items for the VA hospital trip were received, scarves
were sold, and money was turned in for the Casino trip.
Then about a dozen motions were made supporting our community members,
Mason Youth in Government student, and department programs.
Mary Joly displayed a framed photo of squadron fighter jets signed by all the airmen
with a special note. Our auxiliary had sent them a care package and this was their
way of sending a “thank you”. Joe and Mary’s nephew is in the unit. It was very
touching and beautifully done.
I typed a page of notes from the Fall Conference, if you didn’t get a copy, please see
A BIG thank you to Sharon, Jan, and April for the food after the meeting.
