Sept. 2015 Next Meeting Oct. 7, 2015 www.erievfw.com Hi Comrades! There were 17 members present at our Sept. meeting, 7 of them past commanders. Don Ellison brought in a delicious meal for our members. Thanks Don! Mike Santure brought up purchasing new podium books for our officers. It was voted and passed that we will be purchasing new books. Jack Cousino suggested that we donate a 4x6 flag to St. Joseph School. It was also voted on and passed that we will be doing this also. A proposal was made to make the men’s restroom in the Kennedy Room handicap accessible. We will be looking into that possibility. Chris Stark mentioned that the DAV wants to use our hall for their meetings on the third Monday of the month. They also want access to the Kennedy Room afterwards. It was suggested that they come to one of our meetings for the possibility of joining which would let them be able to use the Kennedy Room. Chris also brought up that Mason School will be honoring the victims of the 9/11 attacks on Friday 9/11. They are asking for veterans to be present. If you could make it, it would be greatly appreciated. Ed Simpson showed a cane that was made for him. If anyone would like one made for them, contact Ed Weaver to see if you qualify for it.
