August, 2015 Next Meeting: Sept. 2, 2015
We had a good turnout at our August 4th meeting. Twenty members were present; 8 of
them past commanders.

pass the motion.
Chris stark reminded us we are asked to be at Mason School at 6:45pm August 28th to raise
the flag at the football game. It would be nice to have a good turnout.
Mike santure spoke about a comrade in distress. His car broke down in Iowa while he and
his family were on their way to Alaska. It was voted and passed that we assist him by
sending money. Because of our help he finally made it to Alaska where he is stationed.
Dan Burchfield, the District Jr. Vice, paid us a visit to do our post inspection. He found
everything to be fine as far as the inspection, and mentioned that the Monroe Post had 120
funerals last year. He stressed the importance of our funeral services to the families and
the memory of our comrades.
The tickets are in for the gun raffle. With everyone's help, it will be a success. If you need
