Hello Comrades!

Our monthly meeting went well with 12 members attending. Four were past commanders.
This is great, but I sure would like to see more members attend. By sharing ideas, we can
get more done and keep our post strong.

Our future Commander, Tom Sancrant, informed us on his health status. Sounds like
he’s improving slowly but surely.

We had election of post officers. To show how strong our post can be, we had comrades
step up and fill positions that were needed. We can keep our post strong and help veterans
if we all just do a little to help.

We have a new member, Rose Olszewski, a transfer from Lambertville. Welcome to our
post Rose!

Mich. U.S. Senator Gary Peters is cosponsoring the bipartisan Blue Water Navy VietNam
Veteran Act to ensure VietNam veterans who served aboard deep water naval vessels are
eligible for disability health benefits for illness linked to Agent Orange. Let’s call our Senators
and keep an eye on this act and hope that it passes.

We were asked to be honor guard again this year at the Special Olympics on May 12th. I
will let you know a time as soon as possible. Last year’s event was very moving.

We have to change sections 3 and 4 of our bylaws. We will be doing this at next month’s
meeting.
Our State Commander, Gerald Gorski congratulated us for having 100% membership.
Good work Comrades! Congratulations!

                                                                                            Respectfully submitted,
                                                                                                        Terry Rollins
