Hi Comrades!

We had a pretty good turnout.  There were 11 members present, 6 of them past

The Muskrat Dinner was a great success with many accolades from those in attendance.  A
big thank you to all those who assisted in making this such a success.

By-Law revisions will be presented and voted on during the March meeting.        

Please keep those comrades in distress and their families in your prayers.

Buddy Poppy sales are now authorized at Kroger stores in Michigan.

Michigan ranks 15th nationally for membership retention, 3,000 plus new members need to
get back to 100%

Upcoming events:

  • Monday February 13, 2017 at 1300 – Blood Drive
  • Saturday April 29, 2017 at 1800 – Recognition Dinner (PP/VOD/Teacher of the    Year)
  • Saturday April 29, 2017 – District 6 meeting in Monroe
  • Saturday May 20, 2017 – District 6 picnic
  • Sunday November 19, 2017 – Luna Pier Empty Bowl

Replacement of the fuse box for the main hall is still in works. This should resolve the issue
of fuses blowing frequently.

Repair of the furnaces for the main hall has been completed.

Bibles have been ordered to give to families of deceased members of our Post at their

Tom Merce has embroidered Post ball caps for sale.

Tom Merce is placing orders for VFW button up shirts, same shirt he wore during the
muskrat dinner.

2016 District map pins available for sale, $3.00 each   2016 Department Commander Pins
are available.

American and POW flags available for purchase.

The wooden cane that Ed Simpson displayed is still available. If anyone would like one made
for them, contact Ed Weaver to see if you qualify for it.
